COME AND RUN KOŠICE RUNWAY RUN WITH US THIS UPCOMING SATURDAY

The special run which within Slovakia can be run only in Košice, is coming soon. This coming Saturday, April 27, 2019 the prestigious KOŠICE RUNWAY RUN will write its fourth chapter. "We are thinking of runners, fans of a healthy lifestyle and our listeners in 2019 too. On Saturday evening we will close the international air space above Košice and the track will open for the runners, this can only be experienced in Slovakia in the metropolis of the east,” said main organizer of the event Marek Petráš from Radio Košice.
Almost 1700 runners have already signed up a few days before the start and this number is still increasing. Same as in previous years, also in the fourth year runners can choose between 5km or 10km long track. All registered runners who will reach the finish line will receive an original medal which is different for each year. Likewise, everybody will collect a running t-shirt - also in a new design and registration package for 2019 – containing a TRIPEX voucher of €35* for air services and more surprises.
THE FANS WILL JOIN US ON SATURDAY
Košice Airport will open its doors to all registered runners, whose dynamic warm-up will start just before the run, but the drum show - the BUBONZ or a specially lit track - will also encourage for a better performance. An interesting display is also prepared for all visitors, fans and spectators. Although the fans will not be able to get to the airport runway due to security restrictions, they will be connected with their favorites by a live broadcast on a large screen.
"We have proven a model where we literally breathe life into the airport hall - the airport terminal will once again turn into one big playground, for children there will be a children's corner and animators who would look after the children whose parents will enjoy the run alone" adds Petráš.
ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT
If you travel by car, there will be several car parks available. Parking spaces will be pro-vided for all runners in front of Košice Airport. All car parks will be supervised by the Mu-nicipal Police, the Police Force of the SR or the Košice Airport Security. However, you can also come by bus, the shuttle service will run between the OC Atrium Optima carpark and Košice Airport from 17.30 until necessary. Runners should arrive at the airport in ad-vance, ideally at 19.00 at the latest. Changing rooms are also available at the airport.
PRESENTATION OF RUNNERS
If you still want to join the sport lovers, hurry not only to the finishing line but also to the registration - the number of runners is limited in 2019 as well. Registration is possible online or at the presentation site. The runners will pick up the starter pack with the number, the running t-shirt and the measuring chip on Thursday, Friday or Saturday - at the EXIsport store in Optima on Moldavska street. Don’t wait till the last minute.
